Marian Suzhou Installs Solar Panels, Contributing to On-Going Environmental Initiatives
Marian Suzhou, an ISO 14001:2015 registered company, has taken another step in “going green” with the installation of a massive solar panel power grid on the roofs of our buildings in Suzhou China. Marian Suzhou president, James Feng, and his leadership team believe commercial solar panels are a great fit for our business, even though it is unusual for small to medium sized businesses.
A total of 1,804 solar panels were installed over 8,586 square meters of roof space on two buildings. These panels are capable of generating over 720,000 kilowatt hours of energy per year. While our early estimates are that this solar produced energy will supply only about 5% of our actual power consumption it will still mean a slight reduction in energy costs, but, more importantly, it gives us satisfaction to contribute as a corporation to green initiatives.
“For Marian Suzhou, the main deciding factor is social responsibility. We want to contribute to our earth environment. We gain some small benefit in reduced cost for the power generated by the panels on our roof, but primarily it is about doing the right thing for the environment.”
Marian is proud to be an environmentally friendly converter. Check out all of our quality certifications and learn more about the other green initiatives we are taking to reduce our carbon footprint.
